Community and Intergroup Conflicts (CIC) is a program of the APADRC that provides mediation, facilitation and conflict resolution services to the diverse communities of Los Angeles County. CIC provides:
- A faster, cheaper alternative to court.
- Multiple language services.
- A face-to-face, voluntary procedure in which in which people meet privately to talk about issues and work out an acceptable agreement with the help of a neutral mediator.
- Large group facilitation and dialogue for organizations.
- Telephone conciliation if a face-to-face mediation is unwanted or impractical.
- High ethical standards of confidentiality and neutrality.
- Empowerment of individuals to effectively manage future conflicts.
- Community resources, as needed, through an extensive network of human, social and legal service providers.
